For regulations and health information on harvesting shellfish for personal consumption, please check the Maine Department of Marine Resources website.
- Garbage Collection: Garbage day is on Friday. Please place bagged trash in the barrel outside on Thursday night.
- Recycling: We recycle returnable beverage containers only. A specific bin for these containers is in the breezeway. The town currently is unable to accept other separated recyclables, these should be combined with bagged garbage.
The area around The Creek hosts a multitude of wildlife, including deer, raccoons, groundhogs, chipmunks, a pair of foxes, osprey, two pairs of eagles, sea ducks, seals and the occasional skunk and porcupine. None of these should pose a hazard to people or dogs. However, it is recommended that dogs not be allowed to run unattended, especially at night. Incidents with dogs and wildlife generally occur when the wildlife is suddenly surprised by a dog’s presence and hasn't had a chance to vacate the area.
We love to hear what you think! Please feel free to leave us a note in the guest book or send us a message through your booking portal.
Keep a safe distance from local wildlife.
Please move the grill away from the wall when cooking.
Use caution when swimming and follow common sense swimming precautions. As with any body of water, wind, water, tides, currents and waves can be unpredictable.
Fires on the shore below the high tide mark are allowed by permit obtained through the Penobscot Fire Department. For more information, visit their website. Please use caution and do not leave any fire unattended (this is enforced by law enforcement and local fire wardens).
